
Antonino FURNARI
Antonino Furnari è Professore Associato presso il Dipartimento di Matematica e Informatica dell’Università di Catania. Ha conseguito la Laurea Triennale, la Laurea Magistrale e il Dottorato di Ricerca in Informatica presso lo stesso Ateneo nel 2010, 2013 e 2017. Dal 2012 è membro dell’Image Processing Laboratory (IPLAB), dove svolge attività di ricerca nell’ambito della Computer Vision, del Pattern Recognition e del Machine Learning, con particolare attenzione alla First Person Vision e ai sistemi intelligenti per l’analisi e l’anticipazione delle interazioni uomo-oggetto da video indossabili. È autore di due brevetti e di oltre 50 pubblicazioni su riviste e conferenze internazionali di alto profilo, alcune delle quali riconosciute con premi e selezioni come presentazioni oral in sedi quali ECCV, ICCV e CVPR.
Ha ricoperto ruoli di responsabilità scientifica nell’organizzazione di eventi internazionali, tra cui le serie di workshop ACVR, EPIC, Ego4D ed EgoVis, e la International Computer Vision Summer School (ICVSS). È Associate Editor delle riviste IEEE Transactions on Pattern Analysis and Machine Intelligence e Pattern Recognition, e ha servito come Area Chair per conferenze di riferimento quali ICCV, CVPR, NeurIPS, WACV e ICRA. È Senior Member IEEE, membro di CVF e CVPL.
