Martedì 30 Settembre dalle 10 alle 11, in aula Anile, il Prof. Julio Moyano Fernandez dell'Universitat Jaume I (Castellon, Spagna) terrà un seminario dal titolo:

"Unitary Transformations and Invariant Theory in Quantum Linear Optics: Some Insights and Applications".

Abstract: This talk explores the significance of quantum computing, focusing on the paradigm of linear optical quantum computing, particularly after the seminal work of Aaronson and Arkhipov. We will present the mathematical formalization of linear optical circuits, modeled by unitary operators dependent on the number of ports (or modes) and photons, and highlight the crucial role of invariant theory in understanding key problems in this field. This research is part of a collaborative effort with Vicent Gimeno (Universitat Jaume I), Juan Carlos García Escartín, and Pablo V. Parellada (Universidad de Valladolid).
