Martedì 10 Dicembre 2024, ore 16:00, aula 126 il prof. Bocci (Università di Siena) terrà un seminario dal titolo "m-dissimilarity tensors" Abstract: in this talk I will show how we can use tropical geometry to describe the dissimilarity tensors associated to phylogenetic trees. After an introduction to the basic fact in tropical mathematics we will focus on the so-called four-points condition and its tropical version. Successively I will show a possible generalization.
