Seminario - Blow-up result for semilinear wave equations in exterior domain

Abstract: We consider the initial boundary value problem in exterior domain for a semilinear strongly damped wave equation with power-type nonlinearity $|u|^p$. We derive a blow-up result when $p$ is less than or equal to Strauss' exponent. The main ingredients for the proof is the famous ODE's lemma used by Sideris and a special test function.
