Graduation Exams

The final examination consists in verifying the candidate’s ability to present and discuss, with clarity and confidence, the results of a research project (either theoretical or applied) or an original work related to a laboratory activity or to one of the topics covered in the study programme. The thesis will normally consist of a written dissertation, possibly accompanied by the description of a developed software project, and will be prepared under the supervision of a faculty member, who assumes responsibility as internal supervisor and is normally a member of the Degree Programme Council.

Deadlines and procedure for the online graduation application.
 
For the student:

• By 2 months before the graduation session:
  • Fill in the online thesis assignment request, following the path: home > Carriera > Domande > Richiesta di assegnazione tesi.
    In the application it is not necessary to fill in the fields “correlatore interno” and “correlatore esterno”.
  • Wait for the acceptance of the request by the indicated thesis supervisor.
• 2 months before the graduation session:
  • Fill in online the graduation application (home > Carriera > Domande > Domanda di laurea);
  • pay the graduation fee.
• From 1 month up to 12 days before the graduation session:
  • Confirm the data of the graduation application, updating the thesis title if necessary;
  • complete the AlmaLaurea questionnaire;
  • Upload the thesis file in pdf/A format (home > Carriera > Domande > Upload file tesi);
  • pass the last remaining exams.

For the thesis supervisor:

• confirm acceptance of the thesis assignment request;
• 10 days before the graduation session: final deadline for the confirmation of the thesis pdf file.

Notice to graduating students
Students who wish to transfer their thesis file or other materials to the Aula Magna computer, in order to use them on the day of the graduation session, may do so in the two days preceding the session.
