Learning Objectives

The goal of this course is to teach to the student the Matlab language and the applications of its toolboxes for the development of several numerical routines.


Detailed Course Content

Introduction to the Matlab language. Vectors, matrices and simple operations. Graphics. M-files, loops: for, while, if, switch.
Some examples of programming, iterative solvers, polynomial, quadrature formula. Numerical solvers for ordinary differential equations (ODEs): ode15s, ode45, ode23s, ode23 and for partial differential equations (PDEe): pdepe, PDETOOL.
