Orazio MUSCATO
Orazio Muscato is Full Professor of Mathematical Physics at Università degli studi di Catania. He teaches in the B.S. and Master programs in Mathematics. Member of the board of the Ph.D. program in ”Mathematics and Computational Sciences", University of Messina. He is member of Unione Matematica Italiana, Società Italiana di Matematica Applicata e Industriale, Gruppo Nazionale per la Fisica Matematica dell’ Istituto Nazionale di Alta Matematica ”F. Severi” - Roma and Accademia Gioenia di Catania. From september 20th 2019 is the Head of the Department of Mathematics and Computer Science.
During these years, I have carried out research in the following areas:
• fluiddynamical models for charge transport in semiconductors;
• kinetic models for charge transport in semiconductors;
• direct simulation Monet Carlo for semiconductor devices;
• electrothermal transport models for nanometric semicondutor devices;
• tolerance analysis for elctronic devices;
• charge transport modesl for low dimensional systems ;
• direct simulation Monte Carlo for the Wigner transport equation;
• data analysis and big data.
