Learning Objectives

This course aims to introduce students to the basic principles of the Italian juridical system and the most common IT Law related issues. The program intends to create an expertise about legal problems linked to new digital and telematics technologies. At the end of the course students will obtain a wider acknowledge on digital society and will be able to deal with professional legal issues in public and private sectors.


Course Structure

Traditional lectures, held by the teacher with the support of slides, readings, class activities and debates.

The attendance is highly recommended, since the topics of the course require a special effort of abstraction and conceptualisation. Further competences and approaches will be developed during the lectures.

Should teaching be carried out in mixed mode or remotely, it may be necessary to introduce changes with respect to previous statements, in line with the programme planned and outlined in the syllabus.

Learning assessment may also be carried out on line, should the conditions require it.

  • Information technologies system, open data, cognitive systems and artificial intelligence
  • Copyright, Software protection, inventor’s right
  • E-government: e-document, digital signature, certified e-mail, digital identity systems
  • Basic principles of criminal system and cybercrimes
  • Privacy and new technologies
  • Ethics of the profession

Textbook Information

Materials will be provided by the teacher during the lessons, including guide lines, injunctions, contracting models, vademecum, etc.

No specific competence is required.
